We are a remote-first and fully-distributed organization. We are currently based in the U.S. with an HQ in Encinitas, CA and hub offices in NYC and SF. Our employees work from home (or anywhere), a co-working space (we provide a stipend), or one of our hub offices. The Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Representative to join our fast-growing sales organization, supporting mid-market and enterprise accounts. 

The BDR role is the first touch point in a prospect’s journey with Hone and one of our most important. You’ll proactively collaborate with your peers and manager to uncover new ways to reach prospective customers, while providing a consultative approach to their training and development needs. If you’re passionate about learning and re-imaging workforce training — we want to talk to you!


  • Generate meetings and qualify outbound leads for our Account Executives 
  • Partner with our AEs to target key accounts and create messaging to drive new business opportunities
  • Have a sense of ownership over a territory in working with the AE, as well as owning creative and novel outbound / demand generation activities
  • Conduct high-level conversations with HR leaders to understand their training and business needs
  • Expertly present Hone’s story and value proposition 
  • Run targeted email campaigns and cold call prospective companies
  • Effectively prospect by researching new accounts and adding new leads (Linkedin Navigator, Zoominfo)
  • Accurately document all activities in our CRM/sales tools (Salesforce)


  • 1+ years of experience in sales development or lead generation, ideally in SaaS or business solutions
  • A proven track record of exceeding quota/ high-volume opportunity generation 
  • Ability to balance an organized, process-driven approach with the willingness to try creative strategies
  • Excellent phone etiquette and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Salesloft, and other lead generation tools
  • Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment (startup experience preferred)
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, entrepreneurial mindset and able to work in an autonomous and remote environment
  • An abundance of curiosity, grit, resourcefulness, and an openness to help others
