We're looking for a  Support Systems Engineer to be the founding member of the CS Engineering Team at Clarisights. As a Support Systems Engineer, you’ll build tools and systems that empower you and your teammates to provide an excellent support experience to our customers. You’ll work with partners throughout the company and design, build, ship, and maintain the tools, systems, and apps that enable the support team resolve customers’ issues effectively.

What will you do? 🚀

  • Develop and maintain tools, apps, and systems that empower our team to provide an excellent support experience to our customers
  • Liaise between customers, customer success, and engineering teams
  • Work with engineering teams to analyse, reproduce and document platform issues
  • Work independently and quickly to identify and fix the root causes of problems
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while delivering extraordinary outcomes for the customer
  • Refine and optimise how we work by maintaining a backlog of support systems and developing support processes
  • Mentor aspiring engineers and/or new team members

Who are you? 📖

  • You’re a builder and an owner. You are the founding member of the support function. You take full ownership of all things support.
  • You’re a software developer. You have at least 3-5 years of experience as a Software Developer in a professional environment. You’re comfortable juggling frontend and backend code, mostly in JavaScript and Ruby on Rails.
  • You are fluent with basic data engineering, relational databases, API’s, SQL and integrations.
  • You’re an excellent written communicator. We’re a distributed team and we thrive on asynchronous communication, so keeping your teammates and stakeholders around the globe up-to-date and on the same page is essential.
  • You love to learn. In order to give our support engineers the best tools possible, our team must always be learning about new tools, APIs, and integrations. If you love to spend time digging into new frameworks, workflows, and languages, you’ll feel right at home here.
  • You care about taking care of customers — and taking care of the people who care for them, too. This role requires you to build a holistic helicopter view of what the customers’ desired outcomes in using our products are, and how do we best solve any issues related to it.
