About the Role

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a VP of Sales to own revenue goals and scientifically grow our revenue organization. Here are some of the things you will be responsible for:

  • Drive the Sales Strategy
  • Ensure we establish and optimize the team, systems, and processes to meet our revenue goals. This will involve all aspects of the planning process like refining market focus, creating hiring plans, designing commission plans, investing in our revenue tech stack, and tracking actionable KPIs. To build holistic plans, you will be collaborating with marketing, customer success, and product leaders on GTM and product strategies to lay the tracks for meeting our goals.
  • Build the Team
  • Scale the team and implement recruiting and onboarding best practices. This will involve creating interview guides, managing the recruiting pipeline, and building the internal recruiting processes and infrastructure. Some of the roles you will be recruiting are BDRs, AEs, and rev ops.
  • Coach and enable the team
  • You will be creating an onboarding and continuous training program so that our sales team has the resources and coaching to develop their skills and are enabled to meet their goals. You will be coaching sales reps and executing 1:1s, pipeline reviews, individual training, performance reviews, and SKOs.
  • Develop and improve sales tactics
  • Enable the sales team to educate prospects and progress opportunities by improving all aspects of sales execution like sales presentations, call scripts, objection handling approaches, outbound campaigns, and ABM strategies. As a data-driven leader, you will be identifying and solving bottlenecks across the sales process. You will have complete freedom to experiment with all kinds of strategies and approaches to develop an engaging, modern and customer-centric journey for prospects to learn about, try and adopt Amper.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in sales (SaaS), 3+ years spent leading a team of individual contributors
  • Proven track record of hiring and coaching individual contributors who achieved quota
  • Experience running inside sales teams with $10k-100k ACVs
  • Highly analytical and data-driven with a history of building & running GTM experiments
  • High level of interest in SaaS, IoT, and digitizing traditional industries
  • Excellent communications skills and executive presence
  • Experience with a modern sales tech stack with tools like Hubspot and Gong
