About the position

Join Shipshape as a Territory Manager and become a lead in our organization and manager of the elite installation and sales group we call the “Seal Team”. Territory Managers are responsible for the financial and operational performance of a geographic region, including relationship management, meeting financial metrics and ensuring operational excellence. This role is based in Birmingham, Alabama and will be responsible for a territory including Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia.

This is one of the most important jobs in the company because you will be responsible for the performance of an entire market and have a wide-range of stakeholders and responsibilities to manage.

  • Become an expert in smart home applications to home maintenance and the Shipshape solutions.
  • Build out a world-class sales team to service your territory, consisting of hybrid inside sales and field install tech associates, collectively known as the “Seal Team”
  • Management of sales and installation “Seal Team” in the planning and execution of sales strategy.
  • Management of third party relationships (e.g. Service Dealer Partners), including conducting periodic update calls and onboarding local partners.
  • Educate and train our sales team, partners and customers about our suite of services.
  • Management of territory specific P&L and Inventory to ensure the ability to meet sales, growth and quality objectives.
  • Participate in the formulation of territory goals and metrics (e.g. KPIs, Sales Goals, Income Metrics, etc.)
  • Be a local brand ambassador for Shipshape.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence within the territory.

Requested experience

  • Experience in sales or relationship management.
  • Ability to be goal-oriented, self-motivated, confident, thorough and committed.
  • Ability to operate with enthusiasm and flexibility in a constantly evolving team environment.
  • Ability to build influential relationships and deliver results in a cross-functional/matrixed environment.
  • Experience working with customers and partnerships in home service industry.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or another CRM is a plus.
  • Experience managing P&L responsibilities in a similar business environment.

This is a quota carrying position that stands to make a high bonus for hitting territory goals.
