With an estimated two billion people purchasing goods and services online, PeachPay is a new invention that is geared to revolutionize the online checkout experience. Co-founders, Aaryaman Anerao and John Jago (Iowa State University alumni) and David Mainayar (University of California Berkeley alumnus) believe that the current checkout process on the Internet can be extremely tedious and time consuming, especially for those who may not be quite tech savvy. Given the struggles of the COVID-19 pandemic, many restaurants and small businesses are transitioning to digital menus and checkout, which may seem very overwhelming for people who are not used to this kind of technology. In order to tackle this problem, the PeachPay app was created to provide the most seamless, secure, and convenient checkout experience to date. PeachPay users do not need to go through the tiring hassle of filling out the online form which includes your mailing address and credit card information. Recognizing this problem, our team made the PeachPay interface extremely user-friendly. PeachPay has utilized the power of the QR code to automatically confirm the user’s purchase in an impressively short amount of time. PeachPay users only need to fill out their personal information for the first time they use the app. Any time after, the user just needs to scan the PeachPay QR code on the business’ website and the purchase is successful. An average online shopper spends about five to ten minutes filling out the checkout form. Even within five minutes, some customers abandon their shopping cart because the form is too complicated to complete. However, with scanning the QR code, PeachPay has condensed customer checkout time to just under five seconds. PeachPay's mission is to provide the most convenient way to purchase goods online with the help of QR code scanning. Using PeachPay in today’s world will revolutionize the way people view the checkout experience.
