Job Overview: As an Account Manager at Amper, you will be pivotal in driving customer retention and revenue growth. This role is at the heart of our commitment to customer satisfaction, focusing on renewing and expanding our client base. You will manage a significant book of business, ensuring the success of $2-3M in renewals across 80-100 accounts. Your strategic approach and hands-on management will be crucial in maintaining high retention rates and identifying growth opportunities within our customer base. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong, long-term relationships with customers to understand their needs, ensure satisfaction, and identify upsell opportunities.

  2. Renewal and Retention: Manage and achieve renewal and retention quotas, ensuring the successful renewal of existing contracts and minimizing churn.

  3. Revenue Growth: Identify and leverage opportunities for revenue growth within the current customer base, aligning with company goals.

  4. Travel and Engagement: Be willing to travel as needed to meet with clients, strengthening relationships and understanding their unique environments and needs.

  5. Data-Driven Strategies: Utilize customer data and trends to develop strategies for account retention and growth.

  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure a cohesive customer journey and improve product offerings.


  • Proven experience in managing and growing customer relationships and revenue in a similar role.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing software or a related industry, with a strong understanding of customer needs in this sector.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

  • A strategic and analytical mindset, capable of analyzing data to drive decisions and strategies.

  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and engagement.

  • At least 4 years of experience in customer success, account management, or a related field, preferably in a B2B SaaS or manufacturing technology context.

Location: Chicago-preferred (hybrid in-office + virtual)

Reporting: This role reports directly to the CEO.
